Valley Farm

Where our number one priority is to provide a safe and natural environment for horses to be happy and healthy

Valley Farm is located on the traditional territories of the Mississauga and Haudenosaunee nations, and within the lands protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Agreement, a treaty between the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and Haudenosaunee to peaceably share the territory and care for the land and resources around the Great Lakes. May we be guided by love and respect as we transform our personal and institutional relationships with Indigenous friends and neighbours.

Valley Farm offers outdoor boarding on 22 acres with immediate access to some of the best equestrian trails in Ontario. This natural lifestyle allows horses to be with the company of their herd 24 hours a day, the freedom to move, and access to forage (pasture or hay). A DIY stall is available, and horses may come in during extreme weather. We are currently at capacity, but you can join the waitlist.

ABOUT US

Our number one priority is to provide a safe and natural environment for horses to be happy and healthy. On our 22 acre farm, the herd lives outdoors 24/7 with free access to pasture and hay from slow feeders (Nov – May) to encourage natural foraging, movement and healthy digestion. It’s important for horses to be with their herd for safety and connection, it’s for that reason everyone lives together in our four 5 acre pastures.

Valley Farm is operated by Joanne, but with a lot of help! Joanne’s been riding, training and loving horses for over 25 years. She grew up in the English show circuit in and around London, and bought her first horse Tangle after university. After that and thanks to a couple of incredible horsewomen, her horsemanship evolved to prioritize partnership, horse welfare, and happy horses. Joanne is a level 1 Harmony Horsemanship instructor.
